Description: Three Italian early 19th century handmade crests, coat of arms, armorial representing three families of the black nobility, black being the color of priestly dress. All on red silk velvet with metal thread, yes, metal thread not metallic, featuring a crown, leaves and the family’s insignia. Perfect for a trio of pillows.

Medici: meaning doctors in Italian, crest with six balls. (left)

Colonna: A single column representing Columna Castle in Colonna, Alban Hills. (middle)

Albani: Designed by artist Giovanni Battista Piranesi with flower, shield element and hills. (right)

Condition: These have been used and as such have old dried glue on the back. Loose threads from what they used to be stitched to. Very good for their age.
