A brightly colored wool 18th century Bruges tapestry fragment pillow depicting a prince or king wrapped in a simple cloth cape sitting on his throne holding his scepter among foliage. Edged with an 18th century silk and copper colored thread galon and metal fringe all on cream-colored silk velvet with 100% down insert.
As shown in the last picture, we do have a second similar pillow, slightly different king and coloring. Both pillows sold separately.
Condition: Typical ancient restorations due to separations and some wool loss in the cape, typical for age.
